If you're not lucky enough to own your own photo studio in Dublin, you can always rent one out. There are lots on offer, but not all of them are visible on the front page of Google. Here's a list of a wide range of studios available throughout the city, some more well-known than others. From the large to the small, from the well stocked to the bare bones, there should be something here for every need.
Dublin Photography Studios For Rent
As it's right across the road from Whelan's on Wexford St., I've used D Studios several times for bands appearing in the famous Dublin venue - and found it ideal each time. A great little studio, but one a little bare in terms of accessories.
Price: €25 per hour, Tuesday-Friday / €35 per hour, Saturdays / €35 per hour with an opening fee of €50, Sundays and Mondays
Notes: Large Make-Up area attached to studio
What it lacks in not being in a central location, Edge makes up for in everything else. There are at least 6 lights in the studio, with most suspended from the ceiling - meaning there's no trailing wires. Gels, modifiers and even clothing for models are provided free of charge. John will go out of his way to accommodate you here.
Price: €25 per hour
Notes: Chroma Key backdrop available as well as a large number of clothing and props on site.
The Spire on O'Connell St is essentially the centre of Dublin, so Spire Studios is arguably the most central in the capital. At heart the studio is a commercial photography and printers' studio - but there is the ability to rent out the studio too.
Price: 1 hr: €60 / 2hr: €100 / 4 hr: €160 / Full Day 10am – 18:00 (8hr): €250

Based in two locations in the city (Prussia Street & Gardiner Street), 50hz is pretty well stocked with equipment. Large enough to accommodate families and/or bands, this is a handy Dublin studio in the heart of the city.
Price: €20 per hour midweek and €25 per hour weekends.
Notes: Use of Gels costs extra
It's not surprising that this building with photography studio space and a dedicated 'deplaitated-look' area has become so popular. It's right beside the Phoenix Park too, so this is the perfect one-stop shop for any features that require multiple looks.
Price: €30 per hour - but a minimum booking of 4 hours is required.
Notes: Their website is a bit rubbish, so check out their Facebook page instead.
The website boasts that this studio has '1000sq of space' and it really looks the part. There's a 'New England Style Kitchen' with a 12ft island available for use too. The house is available for other projects and the whole studio has exceptional 'low noise interference' making it ideal for video shoots too.
Price: Starts at €250 Monday-Friday and €350 Weekends
