Irish Gifts for your dad this Fathers Day

Dads. Arguably the hardest person in the family to buy for. "Sure don't be gettin' me anything. I don't need anything", he says as his jacket is held together by hope and his arse is adorned with strings that originally formed a pair of boxers.

If you're looking for some unique ideas from your dad from an Irish company that won't cost the earth (and therefore he can't get annoyed at you for buying), then you're in the right place.

Here are some top picks from Deadly.ie

1. Socks. The obvious choice.

Lemon and Lime. Cheese and Onion. Dads and socks. Some things go together exceptionally well, and for good reason.

At first glance, these socks look like they are for the funkier-oriented dads. They're pink, blue and yellow, after all. However, they are covered in Triskelles, or a funky pattern that reads 'Deadly'.

2. Pint Pins

"The youth these days don't drink anymore!" I mean, that's not true, but by comparison to your dad's generation, they look like Pilgrims. If he's a casual pintman, why not grab him a pin of his favourite tipple?

You can also check out the Glow in the Dark Pint or the Pint Baby Pin, if he's a bit of a heathen.

3. Music Pins

Dad's love rock and roll. They just do. Phill Lynott is a particularly beloved icon to Father's everywhere.

If your aul'fella isn't a Thin Lizzy fan, he might like the Talking Heads, This Must Be the Place Pin (or the mini keyring version) or this Rory Gallagher one:

4. Air Fresheners

Does your Big Man have a stinky car? Does he enjoy the finer odours in life? Well then you're in luck. You can check out the whole range of Air Fresheners here. The best choice (in my humble opinion) would be the Craic 90s version:

5. Keyrings (specifically this one)

The Naas Ball is divisive amongst ol' lads, but those that love it will point it out happily every time they pass. It's has a weird magical connection with middle-aged men. This keyring is the ideal addition to their car keys and because it has a magic 8 ball motif, they'll be always have the answer to 'is it art?'
