The Lady on the Rock Enamel Pin

The The Lady on the Rock / White Lady Statue soft enamel pin is here! It’s 1.25” in diameter, it’s made with soft enamel and it's got a clutch backing to keep it in place.

The lady that adorns many house front windows can now sit proudly about your person. If you want an iconic piece of Dublin on your jacket, bag or cap, look no further.

The Lady on the Rock is a Dublin staple. Walk around the inner city, or suburban areas like Cabra, Crumlin, Clondalkin or Finglas and you’ll see this beautiful woman hanging out in a load of windows. If you love this mysterious woman, you can now add her to your coat, bag or shirt! The first Deadly.ie pin badge is here and it’s everyone’s favourite cloth draped porcelain lady.

Also known as ‘The White Lady Statue’ or ‘The Lady in the Window’, she’s a bit of a mystery to most Dubliners who encounter her everyday. Urban legends say she denotes houses that sell drugs (the type of drugs depend on which way she’s facing and how many are visible in the house), others say that she advertises that the house is a brothel. I’ve even been told that having one in a window shows that you have a son in prison. These are all rubbish, classist nonsense of course.

You can read more about the story of the statue over on Atlas Obscura and if you want to pick up the statue itself, you can find it in Dublin Mouldings.

Either way this Dublin icon is now an enamel pin badge.
