Also known as ‘The White Lady Statue’ or ‘The Lady in the Window’, she’s a bit of a mystery to most Dubliners who encounter her everyday. Urban legends say she denotes houses that sell drugs (the type of drugs depend on which way she’s facing and how many are visible in the house), others say that she advertises that the house is a brothel. I’ve even been told that having one in a window shows that you have a son in prison. These are all rubbish, classist nonsense of course.
